Team Runners Fit had their annual mountain run in preparation for the 2011 BRR on Saturday. Simon organized the run called “The Upper Houch” just outside of Helen, GA. The run consisted of 16 miles of forest service roads and many good climbs and descents. It also consisted of some run ins with wildlife. We saw a total of 4 bears during the morning run! Luckily the bears were more scared of us than we were of them. Justin can scare anything away apparently. One of the forest service roads hasn’t been used much in the last decade and was overgrown pretty bad which lead to some interesting moments. Overall the run was a great preparation for the BRR and gets us one step closer to it!
